Joseph E. Cantwell is the
president of Cantwell & Company. Cantwell & Company was established in May 1991
with the objective to provide clients with an independent source of credit-oriented
advice. His clients have included established as well as first-time issuers in all lines
of business activity. These are domestic and international issuers. Previously, Mr.
Cantwell worked for twelve years (1979-1991) in the Short-Term Finance and Credit
Departments of The First Boston Corporation where he provided advisory services in the
area of credit ratings to the firms domestic and international clients. He also had
administrative and client responsibility for First Bostons US commercial paper and
money market securities operations as well as Credit Suisse First Bostons
Euro-commercial paper activities.
Prior to that, Mr. Cantwell worked for seven years (1972-1979) at The Bank of New York
as a senior commercial credit officer, a corporate lending officer, and an account officer
in the banks national corporate banking division.
Mr. Cantwell holds an M.B.A. in Finance from the Graduate School of Business
Administration of the University of Michigan (1972) and a B.A. in Economics from Fordham
University (1970).
Mr. Cantwell has considerable experience and expertise in advising domestic and
international issuers on credit-related matters, particularly on those issues related to
the debt rating process and capital markets. His advisory assignments have included
governments, manufacturing companies, utilities, banks, insurance companies, and other
financial services institutions. |
